About Us

A History

The company that evolved into Fearless Athletics was founded in 2006 by Wil Vicinus and Eric Neri, offering outdoor CrossFit-inspired bootcamp training. In 2007, we became a CrossFit affiliate and began offering basic CrossFit training outdoors. Although we didn’t have workouts there often, our sessions at the basketball court underneath I-95 at Front Street and Washington Avenue (where we could hang more pullup bars and gymnastic rings) got us a brief reputation as “The Crazy People Under the Bridge”. In 2008, we moved into our first facility, a small garage space on tiny Alter Street, near 8th and Washington. We spent the next few years refining our fitness programming and building training expertise while developing a closely knit community of members. All of our highly qualified trainers came from this community. In 2010, we moved into our new home, a 4500 square foot well-equiped facility and 11th and Fitzwater where Fearless has continued to grow and develop.

Our Philosophy

  • Fearless Athletics is dedicated to helping all motivated individuals achieve their full potential through strenuous and quality athletic movement.
  • We believe that the precision and difficulty of true athletic exercise can be a means of achieving not only physical strength and well-being, but also of finding personal growth, self-discovery, and innate power.
  • We believe that everyone is capable of being physically, mentally, and spiritually stronger than they were yesterday and that true failure happens only when you stop trying.
  • We believe that the true realization of one’s value lies not in validation from others, but in overcoming personal limitations.
  • We believe that strength is not just about achieving greater physical feats, but also about staring down demons of self-doubt, self-limitation, and fear in the process.
  • We believe that the key to true success in life lies in being FEARLESS.
